The solar panel roof can extend the travel distance by an extra 1,300 km (808 miles) annually provided that it charges for six hours each day. Also new for the hybrid is Active Shift Control which smooths out and reduces shift times by aligning engine and transmission speeds. Hyundai claims ASC also improves acceleration, fuel efficiency, and durability. The Hybrid will also feature the latest tech introduced on the standard Sonata including the Digital Key.
